About "Curlyblanco"

Sherdell Baker, more commonly known as "Curlyblanco" is an aspiring journalist along with writer originally from Detroit, MI.  She is also a current freshman at her home by the sea— Hampton University studying journalism.

Her humble beginnings started with writing & performing her poems from late middle school to early high school which was intertwined with writing stories for popular book reading website, Wattpad, under the username, "PoeticFashion , and aliases 'Vendetta' to avoid age controversy. Since then, she has made inspiring and motivating others a big part of her life. She finds much joy in being able to have the words she writes resonate with others.

“Curlyblanco” started off as just an Instagram username, but later became the title of Baker’s blog after being inspired for so long to create one. Now having it, she does her absolute best to incorporate the main focuses  of Lifestyle, Advice, Opinion, and Inspiration into every post written to ensure that the ultimate goal of the blog is met. The goal of this blog is to be as relatable as possible to the current generation.  As well as,  bring awareness to things we know about, but don't talk about or things you may not necessarily know. All while voluntarily sharing personal experiences to remind you that “hey, you’re not alone here.”
